Cleaning the database will reduce the database size. You can select the information you want to be removed when cleaning the database.
To clean the database:
The current database size is indicated at the top.
To clear all cached thumbnail images:
Clean Options
Remove entries pointing to non existing images Information for image files that no longer exist on your computer will be removed.
Remove cached thumbnails not used for 8 days Arles caches thumbnail images to speed up showing images in the Arles Image Explorer. Thumbnail cache that has not been accessed for the specified amount of days will be removed.
Cache image explorer thumbnail images Arles caches thumbnails to speed up showing images. Uncheck this option if you do not want to cache thumbnails. Be warned that the thumbnail view will be much slower. Press the Clear All Cache button to actually remove all thumbnail images from the database.
Warn if database grows larger than 50 MB Select this option if you want Arles to warn you on program exit when the database size has grown larger than the specified amount of mega bytes.
